Goddard, Mark - Buffoonery for bassoon/Tbn/Cello/Alto Sax/ tenor sax and piano With free optional backing tracks- Digital Download

This piece was originally written for the trombonist Michael Skitt, as the final ‘prank’ movement of a concerto for trombone and orchestra. (see below). By popular request, the piece was published for instrument and piano and has since proved equally entertaining for either Trombone, Bassoon, Cello, Alto or Tenor Saxophone with Piano.

This book includes all the optional instrumental parts plus piano, and optional downloadable piano backing track, available here.
N.B. The piano track starts from bar 9, after the improvisatory bassoon solo at the beginning.

Within a month of its publication, Buffoonery was set for trombone grade VIII on the Oxfordshire Instrumental Examinations Syllabus. There is also an arrangement available for Concert Band and Bassoon (catalogue number C214), as premiered on a UK tour by the Massed Bands of the RAF.
