Description

The idea of 59 Winds is the experimentation and the exploration of ‘wind’, one of the most important features in the flute playing. In this piece the ‘wind’ creates a variety of timbres. The tape part is based on flute sounds, which are manipulated electronically. It has been awarded by the first prize Franco Evangelisti 2006 – Concorso di Composizione. It has been also mentioned in Bourges 2005 and in Μusic Nova 2004.
