Gibonus Panpipes – Crafted in Poland from Maple

Since 1993, Marek Tesluk’s Gibonus workshop has specialized in hand‑crafted musical instruments, with a focus on the timeless panpipe. Rooted in centuries of tradition, the panpipe is one of the oldest wind instruments and appeared in all parts of the world, from the Pacific Islands, South America, Middle and Far East, Africa and Europe. Its design has inspired many modern flutes, other woodwinds and even early keyboards. It derives its name from the Greek God, Pan, who was the mythical pre-creator of the instrument.

At Gibonus, they combine respect for the instrument’s authentic, natural sound with modern craftsmanship. Most panpipes in the Gibonus range are made from resonant maple wood, carefully treated with natural substances to protect against moisture and ensure durability. Maple is prized for its medium strength, density and decorative sheen. The maple is sourced from Beskid Makowski in the Polish Carpathian Mountains.

The instruments are electronically tuned for accuracy and offered in a wide range of keys and sizes, making them suitable for both beginners and professional musicians.
