This Renaissance gem by Thomas Crecquillon is a beautiful, flowing chanson with three imitative voices. It was first printed in the 1540's, but was recorded recently by Zephyrus Flutes (Nancy Hadden, Elizabeth Walker and Isabelle Sainte-Marie) on three Tenor D Renaissance flutes. The phrasing and dynamics in the stylish transcription (for 3 modern C flutes) echo the contrapuntal style of the original chanson.
