Paul Schoenfeld (formerly Schoenfield) was commissioned to write this Sonatina for Flute, Clarinet and Piano by the Minnesota Commissioning Club in 1994. Each of the three movements features a different American Dance style: Charleston, Hunter Rag, and Jig.
