Nishimura - Quick Study Quartets (Flute Quartet)
Nishimura - Quick Study Quartets (Flute Quartet)
From the Introduction:
"The purpose of this book is twofold: to provide ensemble teaching material for intermediate flutists, and to be a source of “quick-study” repertoire for advanced players. I think flute students will enjoy the light, entertaining arrangements that contain useful lessons in breath control, articulation, tuning, and ensemble playing. That same entertainment value will give college and professional players pieces that will sound good with very little rehearsal time. The titles listed below were chosen to give a variety of arrangements for almost any concert situation. The pieces are short – almost all are under 3 minutes – making them perfect for encores or to fill holes between longer recital repertoire."
