Godard- Legende Pastorale, Op. 138 Flute and Piano/Organ (Southern)
Child prodigy Benjamin Godard was admitted to the Paris Conservatory at the age of 10. He composed opera, symphony and chamber music, but he is better known for his earlier salon pieces. Legende Pastorale is one of them. Originally composed in 1892 for oboe and orchestra it captures the essence of folk music while not based on any specific folk tune.
