Gardel - Por Una Cabeza. Tango for flute and piano arranged by Wolfgang Birtel

Carlos Gardel (1890-1935) was actually called Charles Gardès and comes from France; as a child, he came to Buenos Aires in Argentina with his mother. Gardel was Argentina's first tango singer and is still considered the most important today.

On June 24, 1935, Gardel was killed in a plane crash in Medellin, just as he was at the height of his fame and had a large-scale tour ahead of him.
