Its meaning is \u003cbr\u003etwofold – to challenge the listener’s assumptions of both women and the flute.\u003cbr\u003e‘Women Wear Capes’ draws on percussive, gritty and confronting extended techniques, \u003cbr\u003eto ‘normalise’ the use of these techniques in flute repertoire.
